Welcome to WCRV-FM, 97.7 FM The Hideout.
WCRV is a new, community-minded radio station, operating as a part 15
approved station from The Hideout, in Lake Ariel, Wayne County, PA.
WCRV covers most of Lake Ariel, including the town center on Rt 191.
The goal of WCRV is to provide musical programming that is not available
on the radio today, along with songs that are rarely heard. What you
will NOT hear is the same 300 songs repeated over and over again.
Basic Format: Around our specialty programming, WCRV will play "Happy
Rock and Roll"...mostly upbeat songs from the 50's to 1995. There will
be no upsetting programming of any kind, such as rap music, unless it is
"not adult rated".
During evening drivetime WCRV will feature ABC news on the half hour.
There will be local news reports after ABC news and time check/weather
reports for our town.
WCRV intends to be Lake Ariels' HOMETOWN STATION, so let us know what
you would like to hear. As we go on the air we are preparing programs
that will feature American Standards, Smooth Jazz, and other musical
features not featured on the radio anymore.
VARIETY 977 -Wants- to help your community organization promote itself.
All non profit organizations are encouraged to email their events to us,
a week in advance so they can be announced on the air.

Sponsorships/Advertising:
WCRV seeks sponsorships and advertising for it's programs. This Autumn
2006, WCRV will aggressively seek businesses willing to post signs to
alert the public about WCRV. In return, WCRV will air commercials (no
more than :60 in length) to support that promotion during regular
programming.
In order to keep our equipment updated and support our programmers with
postage and user fees, WCRV seeks advertisers in our community to
sponsor our programs.
We will produce a commercial for you, or you can write your own.
Rates for sponsoring a program:
Any program mentioned below can be sponsored with two
announcements/plays an hour for $5.00.
Anyone who wishes to sponsor a program should hang a sign in their place
of business to indicate to customers that they are on the air and the
program they sponsor/the time it runs.

Non-Business Advertising:
We will run garage sale/house sale ads for .50 a piece....you write it,
we will read it on the air. There is a minimum of 10 reads for garage
sale/yard sale ads. Once again, it is important to hang a sign saying
you are on WCRV 977 The Hideout......it is a good business decision.

If you choose to advertise on WCRV from 5-8pm, the individual :60 second
rate is $2.00 per minute, with mentions thoughout programming for free.
Sponsor 8pm to 5pm and the cost is $1.00/commercial.

Saturday Night Fever Classic Dance Party (SNFCDP) with Al Cocchi:
2 hours of Solid Dance music!....mostly disco from the 70's.
Sponsor this program for $5.00/2 minutes.
Al will also produce and record TO the program your commercial. Write
him for his rates. This program also runs on WCRV at unscheduled times,
so it is a great investment. Often we run SNFCDP on off-live hours, so
your announcement will be heard at various times besides the scheduled
time.
WCRV also airs back programs of SNFCDP.....you can sponsor the entire
program if you wish.

What the program is about, musically or in a talk format.
The program must be on CD now, and be separated by tracks.
All program contributors need to provide an ID CD and commercial for
his/her services on the ID CD and inside the program.
Our ID is: 977FM WCRV, VARIETY 977, THE HIDEOUT.
"IF" WCRV becomes profitable, WCRV will reimberse your CD blanks/mailing
costs, but in the meantime this is your chance to be heard on the radio.

For advertising on a specific program that has an email address, please
email that DJ and he/she will email his personal rates for that
particular program. This is only for people who wish that particular
program's host to voice their commercial live on that program!! Please
refer to the program guide above to email your favorite program host.
Proof of Performance: will be handled as follows: if you would like a
report of the times your commercials ran, send a stamped-self addressed
envelope along with your payment and order for broadcast. We will
gladly send you POP.
